Social Networking and Support for Final Cut Studio Users

The grand opening this morning was a fantastic experience and I had a great time. If you haven't been...go! It's great to be able to put your hands on Apple's wonderful products and to play with anything in the store. iMacs, iPods, Power Macs, Macbook Air, Apple TV, Genius Bar, tons of accessories and more Mac software than you can shake a big stick at....they have it all. I made my first purchase today and I am quite sure that it won't be the last! I see frequent trips to Baton Rouge in my future.

Yes indeed! I was there or a long time, spent more money than I wanted to! LOL! The store mangers are VERY user group friendly, and have offered to let us (SLFCPUG) do meetings/events there if we wish. Super friendly folks. You have to see it. And they have Final Cut Studio, Aperture, Final Cut Express, Logic, the whole nine yards loaded onto every Mac that is officially slated to be able to support those apps. So if you are thinking of getting a new Mac, go there, try out the software you plan to run on the machine you plan to run it on! Very cool! I'll be posting more photos of it as soon as my Apple TV is up and running.

I went to the store this afternoon. It's very nice -- and larger than other Apple stores I've been in. I wanted to "play" but I was with a bunch of fashionistas who weren't interested in tech gadgets. The only thing I missed in the store was the mini-theater set-up like they have in some of the other locations.

Bigger than a few, smaller than most, and Apple is getting rid of the mini-theater deal, too, sadly. But it's a great store, and it's a lot of fun. LOVE MY APPLE TV!!!!! Oops, did I say that out loud?

At least now you have a "real" service center, and a place to just go play with cool toys!

On top of the announcement that Apple is sending out SDKs to third party developers for the iPhone, and there are already plans by third parties for very serious games, business, and personal productivity apps for the iPhone. Very cool indeed!

Now, to get that mortgage on my house so I can run down the road and by more toys...
