Oh the selection these days is numerous. Hard plastic cases are really of good quality these days. You get them filled with foam, and pinch out little squares to customize the shape to fit any hardware you want to put in them. Remember when measuring, you'll want at least 3-4 inches of padding between your camera and the outside walls of the case. I have come to love my SKB caes, I have three, and my be getting a fourth and fifth. Sweetwater carries them in a variety of sizes. They come with retractable handles and wheels. Just be sure the size you get meets the carry-on luggage limit for airlines. Also, remember you can only carry on one item now, everything else after that they'll charge you good money to carry on. And plan for room for whatever accessories you want to carry on and not put in your check-in luggage. And NEVER check-in a laptop computer. I have seen tons of them broken badly when put in a suit case in the middle of all your clothes, or just checked-in as luggage in it's own case. And even more lost that way. Here's some links, but if you do a search on Sweetwater's site for just "SKB", you'll get a listing of all the many, many cases they make. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/search.php?s=skb+utility+case&g... http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/3i201510BC/
